2006 Hotel California #7 Event of the Year

#7 This event occurred on Monday, October 30th. It was a simple event. But, to many of us it was huge. Cameron Hulse went home after being in the hospital for almost a month. As most of us know Cameron has had his ups and downs this past year with his health. But that day, I learned, and I hope we all did that the Lord answers prayers. And when we all pull our prayers and faith together good things can happen. Please take a read below:

Subject: Fast for Cameron
Family and Friends,
As you all know, our dear friend Cameron has struggled with health issues for some time now. I spoke with him and his Dad this morning and he has suffered another setback. He has been in the hospital for the past couple of weeks. He has a very bad infection as a result from his last surgery that has left him in bad shape and the doctors don't seem to have any answers. He has asked that we have a special fast for him. I know we would all do anything we could for our special friend. If you would please join in fasting with me this Sunday, Oct. 22. Cameron and his family would much appreciate it. If you know anyone else that is not on this e-mail list that would want to participate please pass this information on. Thanks.
Brian

I spoke with Cameron last night and he is feeling much better. He thinks he will be able to go home from the hospital on Monday. I was so happy to hear this! His voice was filled with hope for the first time in a long time. Thank you all for fasting and keeping him in your prayers. He is so appreciative of your faith and love. He feels it really is a miracle with the change in his condition over the past couple of days. I'll keep you posted but let's keep him in our prayers and hope that he will be able to go home on Monday.

I, too, spoke to Cam yesterday. And as Brian said I hadn't heard Cam so encouraged and upbeat in a while. He has such a strong faith. He firmly believes the prayers have helped. It honestly strengthened my faith to talk with him. And we laughed a bit.
I encourage you all to share in his faith and brighten your day by calling Cam. His number is: 760.889.8180.

I went and saw Cam on Saturday and considering all things he is looking and sounding much better than before and his weight was getting better too. I am unaware if he was able to make it home today but as soon as I find out anything new I will try to get an email out. Being that there isn't much he is able to do during his healing period, I think he really appreciates the phone calls and visits to help pass the time with some good laughs and rememberings of old times. Cameron is a great friend and I know he always made effort to keep in contact with everyone throughout the years. It's been close to a month since he has been in the hospital.

Cameron left the hospital on Monday!
I don’t want to get all sappy, but experiences like this lift me up. I believe this is another reason for our lasting friendship. I believe we are kept pretty close for a reason. Distance cannot separate our friendship and love. It sounds cheesy, but I feel it. I believe that each of our friendships is a blessing. And I hope we grow in faith, count on each other, and continue to pray for one another. I don’t wish any hardship on anyone, but I am glad to know I have a large abundance of faith and love if I ever need it. As of the last time I spoke to Cam he was gaining weight back and doing a little better each day.

I just want to say thank you with all my heart. Our english language does not allow me to express how grateful I am for all your faith and prayers. I can honestly say that there is know way that I would be here otherwise. I know for a fact that faith and prayer works. It is very humbling to know that one could call on friends that are righteous and worthy to excercise their hope and faith at any given moment. Thank you all for saving my life. I love you very much.

Cam, none of this would even be here without you. We're all on this site and writing much more to each other cause of your cheeks. I don't think it's just random that we're all friends. You're the best.
